Kate Dormeus is the Head of School at Excel Academy Greenway, where she has served since 2014. She began her career as a special education teacher in New York City, working with middle school students. Kate is committed to equity in education and leads with a student-first mindset, focusing on inclusive practices and strong school culture. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Howard University and a master’s from Long Island University, and she is passionate about ensuring every child has access to a high-quality education.
