We Are Committed to Building a Strong + Diverse Team

At All Means All, we believe that hiring is one of the most powerful and important ways to build a movement and culture in service of all students. Many hiring systems perpetuate the systems of disadvantage built on the foundations of racism, ableism and bias. We are committed to ensuring a diversity of voices, ideas and talent not only exist but thrive in our organization. To that end we work to build as much transparency into our organization, culture and hiring during the process as possible and we invest in building an organization and approach that inspires diverse, talented, mission-aligned leaders to join our team. The full hiring process for many roles looks something like this:

  1. Review the Opportunity Description and Frequently Asked Question to learn about the role, the hiring manager and the organization. There is no “hidden” information - we try and share transparently what you need to know so every candidate has access to it.

  2. Fill out an application (includes written and video response)

  3. Invitation to take 1-3 paid work tests designed to simulate the work you would do if hired and/or evaluate certain skills important for success in the role.

  4. A virtual hiring interview day with a selection committee comprised of AMA team members and partners

  5. Mutual Reference checks (We believe it is just as important that you get to ask your questions and do references for us!)

  6. Employment offer following a background check.

We believe it’s worthwhile to invest time in hiring in order to build the strongest possible team. We offer monetary honorariums for completing our hiring tests, partly to ensure financial constraints do not keep candidates from applying, and partly to demonstrate that we respect and appreciate the time that applicants put into these tests.

At All Means All, we believe that the whole (i.e., total compensation) is greater than the sum of its parts (i.e., salary/wages, healthcare plans, etc.) and should be a reflection of our values. Our total compensation, benefits and policies reflect our desire to create the conditions for our team to access and enjoy financial wealth, build their professional toolbox, and sustain healthy lives. Health

We offer a full range of benefits for you and qualified dependents to health, dental, vision, and other benefits.

Retirement

We recognize investments as an important aspect of wealth building, and offer eligible employees a 401K plan that has options that include employer match.

Paid Time Off + Restoration

In addition to PTO and federal holidays, we block off several company-specific days called AMA Restoration Days during which the company is closed and everyone is able to rest in the ways that matter to them. While the specific dates and amount are detailed in our policies and updated each year, in 2023 this looked like 10 paid PTO days, 14 holidays, and an additional 20 organization-wide restoration days. We also offer half day deliberate rest when work requires us to travel so that we can give everything we have to our partners and leaders while we are with them.

Professional + Wellness Stipends

We want team members to have the physical space and presence of mind to deliver on the promise of our mission in ways that allow them to be human and comfortable. To ensure that is possible, we provide stipends and/or reimbursement budgets to be able to set up your home office and/or invest in a co-working space. We provide a wellness budget every six months for teammates to invest in something that makes them healthy physically, spiritually or emotionally.

Professional Learning

In line with our value of “We Level Up for Equity and Growth”, we work with our team and provide budget for professional learning that aligns with priorities and interests each year.
