Lihi Rosenthal,

Faculty

Lihi Rosenthal is an educational system leader, scholar, and activist. She currently serves as Director of UC Berkeley’s Leaders for Equity and Democracy (LEAD), a re-imagined EdD program that prepares experienced school leaders for the challenges of advancing equity at the system level. Lihi began her career in the public schools of Oakland and Chicago, where she served as a college and career counselor, general education teacher, special educator and department chair. In 2004, Lihi made the transition to school leadership, serving as assistant principal and principal before moving into systems-level work, where she has been honored by the opportunity to put forth holistic approaches to serving systemically marginalized youth and families.

When asked why AMA is important to Lihi, she shared:

AMA holds up a vision of a world I'd like to someday live in, and helps educational leaders take purposeful steps toward creating that world.
