Ramya Subramanian is the Director of Culture at Alpha Public Schools in East San Jose, CA, where she is dedicated to creating school environments where all students—especially those from historically marginalized communities—can thrive. With over 12 years of experience as a teacher and assistant principal, Ramya now focuses on coaching school leaders to build equitable systems that promote belonging and student success. Her approach to culture and leadership is grounded in the belief that every behavior is a person’s best attempt to get a need met.
